Hello, Gruada Mom here,
Today I am going to share another Halloween project that you can do with your energetic toddlers.
This project is more of a mommy keepsake but it involves your babies and some painting fun. This one can be done indoor on the floor with a plastic table cloth. It’s not that messy, is cheap and fun. Plus you get a great canvas to hang on your wall and a memory for life. However, this does take a day or two for drying time.
This project also helps your toddler with their listening skills, hand and eye coordination and concentration. I think child development is great and can be fun. They don’t even realize they are learning.
So here it is everyone.
“The ghost of…” canvas
So here’s what you need:
- Desired canvas size
- Non-toxic acrylic paint (black, orange, and white)
- Assorted paint brushes
- Paint tray (I used paper plates)
- Cup of water to clean brushes
- Baby feet and finger prints
Okay so this is easy to do, just follow the directs or change it up a bit to make it your own.
Step 1- paint the whole canvas black, let it dry for a couple hours.
Step 2- gather your toddler feet (one foot each child) Paint the bottom of their foot white and press lightly in the spots you want the ghost. Let canvas dry at least 2 hours.
Step three- write at the top of the canvas with a small tip brush with white paint…”the ghost of…” then under each ghost write the child’s name and use black to give the ghost a face. I just did circles for the eyes and mouth. Let dry again for 2 hours.
Step four- use the kids finger prints to create dots with orange and white paint around the canvas. Again let dry for a couple hours. And, there you have a beautiful Halloween painting.
They enjoyed doing this with me, and I hope you enjoy doing it as well.
Send me photos of your Halloween paint projects right in the coment area. I’d love to see your creations with your little ones.
