Omg…Christmas is so close I can taste it, ohh and my wallet feels it.
Yep, I’m officially broke!
However, the smiles and joy in my toddlers faces and hearts will make it completely worth it.
Most families are all about traditions.
Well, I am too.
Here is one tradition I started when my daughter had her first Christmas. This year makes year 4 we have done this and my toddlers love it.
The Christmas Eve Box!
This is the only gift they are allowed to open the night before christmas and they are not allowed to open it until after dinner.
What’s in the box you ask??
Well here is the list:
- House slippers
- White Coffee mug and Sharpie to doodle on.
- Hot chocolate mix for after coffee mugs are decorated
- The Christmas book (twas the night before christmas)
- A Christmas Movie
- A bag of popcorn
- A stuffed animal
- A coloring book and crayons
- Santa’s key
Since there us no chimney for Santa to come down the kids put the key under the mat for santa to get in.
Once they open their gift we will choose a movie to watch, make popcorn, eat the candy, doodle on the coffee mugs, drink hot chocolate and just enjoy the night.
Ohh yea they put on their new pj’s and slippers and color watching movies.
Then when it is bed time I read to them.
“Twas the night before christmas”
A Christmas classic.
And they cuddle with their new stuffed animal.
