5 Ways Bloggers Make Money

Hey Lovelies,

Okay SO you have a blog and you totally LOVE ITbut it’s time to turn this hobby into a full time profitable business. How do we do that? We blogger with income reports in the 50K-100K range on Pinterest daily. How do they do it?

Well for starters a lot of hours go into it but it all starts with a Creative Idea you want to share with the world. Then there’s the planning, the building, the advertising, the promoting, the hours of writing, taking stunning photos and editing them to perfection, giveaways and much much more.

So where does the money making come in?

Here are 5 ways Bloggers Make Money from their blog:PicsArt_05-24-05.45.59

Affiliate Marketing

Bloggers play the middle man for large companies like Share-A-Sale or JVZoo who offer affiliate programs where bloggers can earn a percentage of commission for referring people to their products or their merchants products. For instance smaller companies like optinmonster partner with Share-A-Sale and give a percentage to the affiliate when someone buys their products or signs up for their services. Most bloggers make half of their income from affiliate marketing.

Guest Posts

Some bloggers allow other bloggers to post on their blog on their specified topics. Pay is discussed with editors but sites like the penny hoarder  enjoys sharing money saving idea’s or Read.Learn.Write accepts posts on personal experience. If you need help writing a pitch Jordan from Writing Revolt has some great advise and a free course on how to build a freelance writing business in 4 months with no degree.guest-blogging-tips

Selling Ad Space

Bloggers make a large sum of money from selling space on their sites for ads. Bloggers can control what ads are placed and where they are placed and they control how much they are paid to give a company space to advertise their business. It’s really a win/win for both parties. There are ad networks like Adsense, Wordad, and infolinks you can partner with. Then there  are smaller businesses like a popular local retailer. You do the research and you choose what you are paid. Also, most ad networks have a pay per click or some do pay for monthly space.

Review Posts/Sponsored Posts

Bloggers can write Product or service reviews in exchange for free products or even cash. Always discuss with the owner of the product or service if you can write a post about their company or their products. Check sites for affiliate programs, with those you earn a commission for every sale you have through your special link. One of my favorite companies to do product reviews on is Legging Army , with my special link I earn commissions for signing people up to our affiliate program and for each purchase they make and Melaleuca I earn products for new enrollments.PicsArt_05-23-12.14.07.jpg

Sale your own Services/Products

The largest part of a bloggers income comes from selling their own services or products. Depending on your niche will depend on the product or service. Some bloggers sell digital products, e-books, instant downloads, have a online shop, or offer classes or courses. This way bloggers establish their Brand and have a passive income and control all the money coming in and out.

SO that’s the basic and most popular ways bloggers make a passive income. Good luck on your blogging journey.

10 Sites that Pay you to write

Hey lovelies,

It’s Money Making Monday!

Today, I put together a small list of websites that will pay writers/bloggers for posts or articles.

I have personally submitted articles or blog post to a few of these sites and am currently working on a piece for a couple right now as well.

Being a SAHM I have a little time every morning before the chaos of the day starts.

I get up at 6:30 am and drop my hubby off at work, which is seriously 8 minutes from my house and come back home and enjoy an hour or if I am lucky 2 hours of silence while I drink my Coffee and do some writing while listening to the news or listening to a favorite TV Series like Vikings or TrueBlood. Then my three minions wake up for some cuddles and we start our day.

But, for a stay at home mom an hour of writing every morning and then some though out the day when I can get a break getting paid around $50-$300 per post or per article is not that bad. You can easily earn a full time income just from freelance writing.

I’ll stop babbling about my mom life and share my list I pulled together…

So here we go:

eCommerce Insiders- This site pays $60-$150 per article that is about online retail.

Freelance Mom-This site pays $75-$100 on post about running a business as a parent.

The Penny Hoarder– You must discuss the pay with the editors, they write about money-saving ideas.

The New York Times Modern Love Column-This site roughly pays around $300 for articles on topics that relate to modern love.

Well Family (The New York Times Parenting Blog)-Accepts articles about parenting, you make the pitch to the editor and they pay $100 for every article that is accepted.

Cosmopolitan- This site pays $100 for articles on Colleges.

Babble-This site pays $100-$150 for parenting, entertainment, pregnancy, beauty, style, food, and travel posts.

Stork Guide- This site pays $50 + per post on pregnancy, parenting, newborns, and toddlers.

WPHubs– This site pays $100-$200 for posts on wordpress related topics such a graphic design, themes and so on.

UpWorthy-This site pays $150-$200 for 500 word posts.

Well there you have it. Good luck on your journey and I hope this list helps some of you out. I am currently working on something for Modern Love Column, something for Babble and Well Family. I really hope I can land a pitch with at least one of them.

Work at home Jobs for the SAHM

Hey mommy,

Are you tired of the 9-5 job?

Doing the same old thing day in and day out?

I was too, Now I don’t I stay home with my 3 toddlers and still make some money on the side. I don’t make a steady income but I’m working hard towards it and this time next year who knows we could be making $30,000 a month.

Now, don’t think you will get rich quick because you won’t but it’s very beneficial to work from home.

  1. You don’t have to pay a babysitter to take care of your kids to work.
  2. You get more time with your little ones.
  3. You make your own rules, and schedule.
  4. You accomplish more at home and have more energy and time.
  5. You can save more money.

So, what can you do to help out your stressed spouse?

Well, here is a big list of jobs you can do from home.

Babysitting / Daycare- you can earn a decent income by taking care of people’s kids while they work. Let’s say you charge $20 a child a day for 5 days everyweek, if you take on 4 kids which is standard for MO law without getting a business license then you can easily earn $400 a week. That’s not bad at all.

Dog sitting- If you love dogs then you can watch people’s dogs during the day and earn a decent income from that. You could charge $20 a day per dog and require the owner to bring their dog food with.

Personal Chef/Baker- If you enjoy being in the kitchen and can Cook or bake like a Boss then you can sell goods, host cooking classes, host cooking shows with YOUTUBE or cater for parties and special events such as weddings or birthday parties. You make your own schedule and own prices. Some make a darn good living doing this.

House cleaning Service- If you enjoy cleaning and organizing or your just good at it. Then start up a cleaning business. Most cleaning companies charge $20.00 an hour.

Party/Even Designer or Planner- If your crafty and enjoy being “the hostess with the mostest” then this is perfect for you. You choose your rules, hours, designs, you run the whole show. Start out small and build yourself a name. Ohh and you choose your pay rate too.

Fitness or Life coach- If helping people and being in great shape is what moves you, then become a coach and teach people how to become more fit and healthy in every aspect of their lives.

YouTube Channel- If you like being on camera and have interesting material like comady, or your a chef and want to recipes or a scientist who experiments then why not start a YouTube Channel.

Blog- If you enjoy writing and you have something to share start blogging. You can start your own blog here. You can have a mommy blog, financial blog, food blog, lifestyle blog, fashion blog and much much more. It’s yours you can do what you want. You could even work with Amazon and do movie or book reviews on your blog. Who knows.?.

Remote Customer Service- Help customers through online chat or over the phone. Training is provided with some and pay depends on the company but most start from $8-20 an hour and you choose your schedule.

  • Apple
  • Amazon
  • Home Shopping Network
  • We Work Remotely
  • American Express

Tutoring- If you enjoy helping others succeed then you can tutor people online. Some sites require a degree but most is experience.

Taking Surveys- you won’t get rich or make a steady income but you can earn a few extra bucks for taking surveys, taking polls, answering emails, watching short videos and playing games. I’ve made about $20 extra a month through PayPal with Inbox Dollars and about $100 in shopping cards from swagbucks.

Direct Sales – You can sale directly with these companies and earn a commission and discounts on products.

Referral programs- you can earn a commission for referring people to companies as well. Share on social media and when someone signs up with your link then you get paid.

Affiliate Marketing- Basically you refer products for merchants and when someone buys those products you earn a commission.

Freelance writing – There are TONS of sites that will pay you to write for them. Rather your a blogger or story teller there is a site for you. You just have to find the right lead that fits you.

Working from home and being your own boss has alot of perks and its not that expensive to start. All you have to do is figure out what you want and what you love most and do it. Be consistent, be honest, motivated, passionate, time management and clever. Know what your doing and go for it. It doesn’t hurt to try.

So go for it momma, make your dreams come true and enjoy those little moments it your little ones, you only get that time with them once and the little ones count the most.

Good luck momma!
